This special issue will describe the progress and opportunities that antisense technology offers for personalized medicine. The issue will give an overview of how genomic information is translated into modern therapeutics to provide personalized health care.

The special issue focuses on the use of antisense oligonucleotide-based therapeutics to target pathological mutations that cause diseases. The antisense technology offers a safe and sustainable solution for many of these cases.

The scope of the special issue is to cover the topics from genetic diagnosis to drug development. While antisense therapeutics are the focus, other RNA-based modalities are also considered.
